BACKGROUND:As of June 2, 2021, the statewide rollout of the Electronic Death Registration System (EDRS) Amendment functionality is complete and all EDRS users are required to submit amendments via the EDRS for any death record originally filed electronically. Facility/Office staff with an assigned EDRS role can key electronic amendments. Certifiers affiliated with the case need to affirm the amendment. Acceptance of medical corrections by local filing offices for any electronically filed case will be limited.
