The New York State Department of Health (DOH) is hosting an informational webinar about the transition of the Medicaid Pharmacy benefit from Managed Care to the fee-for-service (FFS) program. This is the first of a series of recurring monthly webinars about this topic, which are open to all interested MRT stakeholders. There will be a designated question and answer period at the end of the webinar.
The All-Stakeholders Call – Medicaid Pharmacy Benefit Transition webinar will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the webinar, the presentation will be posted to the DOH website.

Please plan to join the webinar 5 minutes ahead of the start time. This will reduce wait times getting into the webinar and allow for a prompt start.
Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) Updates
The Edie Windsor Healthcare Center is offering additional DOSE #1 Monkeypox Vaccine Appointments.
All those receiving a vaccine must commit to receiving BOTH first and second doses at the Edie Windsor Healthcare Center.
Second dose appointments are 4 weeks after the 1st dose.
New York State Monkeypox vaccine eligibility includes:
- Individuals with recent exposure to monkeypox within the past 14 days.
- Those at high risk of a recent exposure to monkeypox, including members of the gay, bisexual, transgender, and gender non-conforming community and other communities of men who have sex with men and who have engaged in intimate or skin-to-skin contact with others in the past 14 days areas where monkeypox is spreading.
- Individuals who have had skin-to-skin contact with someone in a social network experiencing monkeypox activity, including men who have sex with men who meet partners through an online website, digital application (“app”), or social event, such as a bar or party.
Vaccination Dates (APPOINTMENT ONLY NO WALK-INS):
Monday August 15, 2022: 1pm-5pm
Wednesday August 17, 2022: 1pm -5pm
Friday August 19, 2022: 9am – 4pm

Participate in the Telehealth Initiative
The Medical Society of the State of New York is pleased to announce a new telehealth initiative in cooperation with the Physicians’ Foundation and the American Medical Association. MSSNY is seeking 5-10 physician and/or institutional based practices involved in various stages of telehealth. This telehealth initiative is a yearlong project and will allow practices to optimize and measure telehealth in all settings.
